It is with great sadness that we inform you that on Friday, February 9, 2007 Dr. Harry T. Barbaris passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Dr. Barbaris was a Partner and Physician at Urology Associates for over thirty-years; we will miss him dearly.
Dr. Barbaris received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He remained in Washington to complete his postgraduate training at Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Barbaris served as chief of surgery at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. He was certified by the American Board of Urology and was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Barbaris was recognized as one of the "Best Doctors" in New York in the June 10, 2002 issue of NY Magazine. Dr. Barbaris retired from private practice in September 2005.
Harry T. Barbaris, M.D., was a practicing urologist and senior partner since 1975. Dr. Barbaris was most recently concentrating his efforts as Director of Surgery at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Barbaris retired from private practice in September 2005.
