Keith D. Bloom, M.D.
Dr. Bloom received his medical degree from Loyola University, Chicago. He completed both his internship and residency at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is a member of the American Urological Association and recipient of the 2000 Margaret Raiford Hano Memorial Nephrology Award. Dr. Bloom has done research at Loyola Medical Center - Cardiovascular Institute and Harvard Medical School - Dana Farber Cancer Institute and has contributed to several publications and abstracts. Dr. Bloom is a board-certified attending urologist at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset, and St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. He also holds an academic appointment as Clinical Instructor in Urology at Weill Cornell Medical College. Keith Bloom, M.D., our newest associate, joined the practice in 2005. Dr. Bloom now offers High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for the treatment of prostate cancer. HIFU is one of the most advanced treatments for destroying prostate cancer while leaving sexual and urinary functions intact. In addition to general urology, Dr. Bloom has a special interest in urologic oncology, renal surgery, cryotherapy, and the treatment of stones.
