Credentials and Background

Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate education at The Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical degree from Cornell University. His postgraduate Urological training was completed at The New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia Campus. Dr. Johnson is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an attending urologist at North Shore University, St. Francis Hospital, New York Presbyterian and a Clinical Instructor of Urology at Cornell University

Office Specialty

Dr. Johnson joined Urology Associates in 2004 and comes to us from a highly-recognized training program. He has developed a large patient following in all aspects of urology. In addition to general urology, Dr. Johnson has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopy, endoscopy, and robotic surgery for the treatment of stones and kidney, bladder, and prostate cancer. He employs the latest technology such as 'greenlight' vaporization of the prostate for BPH and cryosurgery for kidney and prostate cancer and high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for prostate cancer.
