Surgical Booking Office

Our in-house surgical booking staff serve as liaisons between patient and doctor pre- and post-surgery. They coordinate care with patients and schedule all ambulatory (out-patient) and in-patient surgical procedures at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset and St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. The role of the surgical booking office is to provide the following:

• Preparatory instructions and scheduled date for surgical procedure

• Instructions and scheduled date for pre-surgical testing (commonly done one week prior to surgical procedure)

• Information on how to obtain medical clearance for surgery

• Insurance pre-certification approval for the surgical procedure

• Treatment schedules for specific surgical procedures (e.g., radioactive prostate seeding)
